while maddie and marissa visited we went on a hike i've wanted to do for awhile. its located out by leavenworth. so we headed out there, hit up the 59er diner on the way and then hit up the trailhead. the hike was beautiful. started off pretty easy and then started to get a little steeper towards the end. took us about 4 hours and because we didn't start until almost 5pm the snow was pretty soft which definitely had us hip deep at times. we got up to the lake right before sunset and set up camp. met and hung out with two guys who were already up there. good people and had some fun talking to them. we slept in a bit and woke up to a blue bird day with it being about 80 degrees which was surprising as it was definitely below freezing when we went to bed. but yea this was awesome and pretty unforgettable.
